Community Update |

Dear Residents, I hope you are all well. Since Connor and I last updated you, we have continued to tackle local concerns and issues within the Paddock Wood area. I wanted to provide you with an update on some of the work we have been carrying out recently.
Catapults Following enquiries conducted by Connor and I, two individuals have been identified and issued with Community Protection Warnings after being found using a catapult locally. Further enquiries are also ongoing in relation to a separate catapulting incident. We are actively working to identify additional individuals involved so that appropriate action can be taken. We will continue to patrol identified hotspot locations and act upon information provided to us.
Road Safety Concerns continue to be raised regarding vehicles parking along Commercial Road. Further vehicles have been identified illegally parking by ourselves, as well as through photographs submitted by members of the public. Warning letters have been issued to the registered keepers of the vehicles regarding their parking.
Anti-Social Behaviour On Saturday 24th of October, a report was received regarding an individual causing a disturbance inside one of the local stores. The matter was addressed, and the individual was subsequently arrested. Furthermore, they have now been banned from the premises.
We have also conducted follow-up enquiries regarding a report from Saturday 17th of October of anti-social behaviour at the Community Centre. Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible for the various incidents reported that evening, and we are progressing all available lines of enquiry.
Continuing to Tackle Local Issues We have recently received two separate reports of a suspicious male approaching residential driveways within the Paddock Wood area. Both reports have been followed up, with images obtained to assist our enquiries. Work is ongoing to identify the individual involved.
Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity affecting their property or that of their neighbours. If you witness suspicious behaviour, please report it online or via 101. If an incident is ongoing at the time, call 999. Whilst we continue to respond to emergencies and incidents across the district, Connor and I remain committed to addressing the issues that matter most to local residents. We will continue to work with the community and partner agencies to keep Paddock Wood a safe place to live, work and visit.
As always, I would encourage everyone to continue reporting incidents to Kent Police via the appropriate channels: 999 – Emergency incidents or crimes in progress. 101, Kent Police Live Chat or Online Reporting – Non-emergency matters.
Thank you for your continued support and assistance. Kind regards, PC Louis Scudder & PC Connor Geelan | ||
